L2 — Flying an Array L2-BUMP / L2-BAR

Flying an L2/L2D array under L2-BUMP, adding enclosures one at a time off their chariots using the automatic locking system. Reference: LA-L2-FLY-BUMP-01. Follow in order — this is a sequential rigging procedure, not an independent checklist; steps depend on the ones before them.

Safety notes

Minimum 2 operators. Rigging accessories: L2-BUMP, BPCHAIN 1.5T, 1 or 2 L2-BAR (optional), 2 Ø19 mm shackles WLL 3.25 t (+2 more if using a second L2-BAR).
Risk of falling objects — verify no unattached items remain on the product or assembly.
When flying an array, use the available holes to implement a secondary safety.
Each enclosure locks with a "SHLAK!" click of its rigging arms — a visible yellow label on a latch means it is not fully engaged; do not proceed until it disappears.

Prerequisites

Each L2/L2D to be flown is already secured to its own chariot. See Securing on L2-CHARIOT/L2D-CHARIOT. L2-CHARIOTLID/L2D-CHARIOTLID and L2-CHARIOTCOV/L2D-CHARIOTCOV are removed from each enclosure. If using a rack, LA-RAK III is already secured on L2-BUMP. See Securing LA-RAK III on L2-BUMP.

Attaching L2-BUMP to the Top Enclosure

Position the L2-BUMP runners on the enclosure's matching tracks. Pull on the front latches and rotate the front rigging arms of the enclosure into position, then press the front buttons on both sides to activate the automatic locking system — the latches retract when no yellow label is visible. Pull on the rear latches while extending the rear rigging arms, release to lock the arms in position, then press the buttons on both sides to activate the automatic locking system. Optional: to extend the site angle capability, secure one or two L2-BAR on L2-BUMP using pins — L2-BAR can be attached in position A or B, as a rear or front extension.

Raising and Building the Array

Select the pickup points on the rigging element. Remove the chariot from the enclosure: slightly raise the array, then holding the chariot with one hand, remove both back pins, then remove both front pins. Raise the array. Add another L2/L2D as necessary: position the enclosure below the array. Lower the array until the ground runners of the top enclosure meet the matching tracks of the bottom enclosure at the front. Pull on the front latches and rotate the rigging arms of the bottom enclosure, then press the buttons on both sides of the bottom enclosure to activate the automatic locking system. Slightly raise the array so the wheels are 30 cm / 1 ft from the ground, then turn the wheels inside the chariot. Pull on the rear latches of the bottom enclosure while extending the rear rigging arms, then press the buttons on both sides of the top enclosure to activate the automatic locking system. Pull back the bottom enclosure while lowering the array — the automatic locking system locks and the latches engage. Repeat the raise-position-lower-lock sequence above until the array is complete.
