K3 — Securing LA-RAK II AVB on LA-RAKMOUNT

Mounting LA-RAKMOUNT rails on K3-BUMP and securing an LA-RAK II AVB touring rack to them. Reference: LA-K3-RACK-MOUNT-01. Follow in order — this is a sequential rigging procedure, not an independent checklist; steps depend on the ones before them.

Minimum 2 operators.
Torque spec: 5 N·m using a T30 bit for LA-RAKMOUNT rail screws — the only explicit torque value in the K3 rigging chapter.
This procedure is also applicable to previous-generation LA-RAK products.

Mounting the Rack

Position and secure the two rails on the K3-BUMP using an electric screwdriver with a T30 bit torqued to 5 N·m — before securing the side rails, confirm the frame pins are on the outside. Install two K3-BAR on both sides of the K3-BUMP. Remove the LA-RAK II AVB coupling bars by turning them to release the spring-loaded safety and sliding them out. Position the LA-RAK II AVB on the rails. Secure the LA-RAK II AVB with the coupling bars: insert the spring-loaded safety into the LA-RAK II AVB rails, give it a quarter turn, and slide the bar until it locks into place — always insert the coupling bars so the round metallic safety points upward, from the back for a negative angle (rear extension) or from the front for a positive angle (front extension).
