K3 — Adding a Pullback with K3-RIGBAR
Rigging a K3-RIGBAR pullback off a second motor to control the site angle of a flown K3 array. Reference: LA-K3-PULLBACK-01. Follow in order — this is a sequential rigging procedure, not an independent checklist; steps depend on the ones before them.
- Minimum 2 operators.
- Hardware needed: 2× ∅19 mm shackles, WLL 3.25 t; LA-SLING2T two-leg lifting chain (DIN EN 818-4, 8 mm).
- Flown with K3-RIGBAR as main lift: safe limit 16.
- Pullback must not exceed a 90° negative site angle.
- Pick-up points must be aligned with the linking points.
- Additional/secondary safety must be either a two-leg bridle sling with a pickup point higher than the LA-SLING2T, or two separate safety slings.
- Prerequisite: an array already flown with K3-BUMP and K3-BAR (see the K3-BUMP/K3-BAR flying guide) — optionally, a second K3-RIGBAR can be secured on the top enclosure to replace K3-BUMP as the main lifting accessory.
