K3 — Flying an Array with K3-BUMP and K3-BAR

Attaching K3-BUMP and K3-BAR to a prepared block of K3 and raising the array to lock the inter-enclosure angles. Reference: LA-K3-FLY-BUMP-BAR-01. Follow in order — this is a sequential rigging procedure, not an independent checklist; steps depend on the ones before them.

Minimum 2 operators.
Hardware needed: 2× ∅19 mm shackles, WLL 3.25 t.
Flown K3 with K3-BUMP: safe limit 16 / maximum 24.
Refer to Soundvision to identify the extension and position of K3-BAR before starting — 68 possible pick-up point combinations exist.
Prerequisite: preset the inter-enclosure angles and prepare a block of K3 enclosures before starting.

Flying the Array

Connect K3-BAR to K3-BUMP: remove the pins from K3-BAR, position it on K3-BUMP per your Soundvision model, secure it with the pins, then lift K3-BUMP using the motor. Lower K3-BUMP to facilitate the connection between the enclosures and the rigging frame. Secure K3-BUMP on top of the array: attach the front rigging arm on both sides by rotating it and securing it with the K3-BUMP pin; lower the K3-BUMP and secure the connection with the K3 pin (move the frame back and forth if the pin resists); lower the rear of the K3-BUMP; attach the rear rigging arm to the frame by sliding it to its 5° position, presetting the angle at 5° with the enclosure pin, and securing the arm with the K3-BUMP pin. Raise the array to lock the inter-enclosure angles — listen for the audible click confirming each angle lock engages. Remove the chariot from the array: holding it with one hand, remove the back pin on both sides, then remove the front pin on both sides.
