K3 — Preparing a Block of Four K3

Building a block of four K3 enclosures on K3-CHARIOT before the block is flown or stacked. Reference: LA-K3-BLOCK-PREP-01. Follow in order — this is a sequential rigging procedure, not an independent checklist; steps depend on the ones before them.

Minimum 2 operators.
Rigging accessory needed: K3-CHARIOT.
Confirm the automatic locking system button is unloaded before adding each subsequent enclosure — pull to disengage the latch if it has been pressed.

Preparing the Block

Prepare K3-CHARIOT by fully rotating the rear rigging arms to attach a first K3. Position a first K3 on K3-CHARIOT. Secure the enclosure at the front using the LINK hole. Lift the rear of the enclosure and rotate the dolly's rear rigging arm into its upward position. Secure the enclosure using the LINK hole. Position another K3 on the first one — keep holding it by the handles until the front rigging arm is secured. While holding the handle, rotate the front rigging arm and secure it with both LINK pins. Slide the rear rigging arm and secure it with both pins, in the LINK and 10° holes. Confirm the automatic locking system button is unloaded — if it has been pressed, pull to disengage the latch. Repeat the previous four steps until the block of four is complete.

Every joint takes two pins

Every rear-arm joint gets pinned twice: once in the fixed LINK hole, once in the angle hole for whatever splay that position needs. Both pins have to be in — one alone leaves the joint unsecured.
