K3 — Attaching a Block of Four K3 Under K3

Extending a flown K3 array by attaching another prepared block of four K3 underneath it. Reference: LA-K3-ADD-BLOCK-01. Follow in order — this is a sequential rigging procedure, not an independent checklist; steps depend on the ones before them.

Prerequisite: preset the inter-enclosure angles of the new block before starting.
Caution: the array swings while locking the inter-enclosure angles and while raising to lock the assembly — keep clear.
Always model the specific configuration in Soundvision first.

Attaching the Block

Attach the front rigging arms on both sides, bringing the new K3 block to the front of the flown array: rotate the arm to align its hole with the K3 rigging hole, secure it to the LINK of the flown array with the ball-locking pin, then lower the flown array and secure the assembly with the LINK pin (move the flown array back and forth by the enclosure handle if the pin won't insert). Lock the inter-enclosure angles of the block by raising the array — caution, the array swings during this step. Attach the rear rigging arms of the top enclosure of the lower block to the back of the array: turn the wheels inside the chariot, pull back the bottom enclosures while lowering the array until it contacts the top enclosure of the second block, slide the rear rigging arm and secure it with the pin using the LINK hole, secure the chosen angle by positioning the pin at the entrance of the angle hole and sliding the arm until it engages, then press the button to activate the automatic locking system. Raise the array to lock the inter-enclosure angles. Remove the chariot from the array: holding it with one hand, remove the back pin on both sides, then remove the front pin on both sides.
