K2 / Flying an Array Under K1 Elements
Connecting the Arrays
Lift the K1-SB array so a block of four K2 can be positioned under it.
Using two K2-LINK interfaces, attach the front rigging arm on both sides: rotate it to align its hole with the K1/K1-SB rigging hole, pin it on the flown array, then lower the flown array and secure it with the LINK pin (move the flown array back and forth with the enclosure handle if the pin won't insert).
Raise the array to lock the inter-enclosure angles.
Turn the wheels inside the dolly.
Connect the rear of the K1/K1-SB array to the rear of the K2 array with K2-LINK interfaces, using the 0.25° hole to align the front faces: on both sides, attach a K2-LINK at the back of the K1-SB enclosure without pinning it to K2 yet, pull back the bottom enclosures while lowering the array until only the front wheel touches the ground, then push the K2-LINK into the K2 rear rigging. ▣ Diagram
Lower the array until K2-LINK's hole matches the K2 rigging middle hole — risk of pinching, do not touch K2-LINK while lowering.
Secure the K2-LINK on the K2 rigging middle hole — verify the rear rigging arms are secured by pins and no yellow label is visible on the front.
Remove the K2-CHARIOT: raise the array, then holding the dolly with one hand, remove the back pin on both sides, then remove the front pin on both sides.
Lift the array so another block of four K2 can be positioned under it — verify no yellow label is visible on both sides of the array.
Attach the front rigging arm of the new block on both sides: rotate it to align its hole with the K2 rigging hole, pin it in the LINK hole of the flown array, then lower the flown array and secure it with the LINK pin (move the flown array back and forth with the enclosure handle if the pin won't insert).
Lock the inter-enclosure angles of the block by raising the array — the lower K2 enclosures swing and the latches automatically lock.
Attach the lower K2 enclosures' rear rigging arm to the back of the array: turn the wheels inside the dolly, pull back the bottom enclosures while lowering the array until it contacts the top enclosure of the block, slide the arm upward and secure with the pin using the LINK hole, position the pin at the entrance of the chosen angle hole and slide the arm until the pin goes in, then press the lock button.
Raise the array to lock the inter-enclosure angle — the latches automatically lock; verify the rear rigging arms are secured by pins and no yellow label is visible on the front.
Remove the K2-CHARIOT: holding the dolly with one hand, remove the back pin on both sides, then remove the front pin on both sides.
Repeat the lift-and-attach sequence above (lifting the array, then attaching the next block of four K2 to the bottom) until the array is complete.
Raise the array to its final trim height.
Adjust the site and azimuth angles.

Same interface as the K1 rigging guide's K2-LINK page, just flipped: here K2-LINK
bridges the rear of the bottom K1/K1-SB enclosure to the top K2 enclosure. Of its
several angle holes, only the 0.25° hole keeps the two front faces in line.
