K1 — Rigging Check (Pre-Deployment QC)

A pre-deployment functional check of two enclosures' rigging arms, pins, and automatic locking system, run before a show to confirm the rigging hardware is sound. Reference: LA-K1-RIG-CHECK-01. Follow in order — this is a sequential check procedure, not an independent checklist; steps depend on the ones before them.

This is a pre-deployment functional/QC test of two enclosures' rigging arms, pins, and auto-lock system — distinct from the live flying sequence.
Run this before a show to confirm rigging hardware is sound, not as part of the actual rig.
If the check fails at any point, immediately withdraw the product from use and contact L-Acoustics.

Rigging Check

Position a K1 on K1-CHARIOT (the enclosure can face either way). Position a K1 on the first one. Secure the front rigging arms using the top enclosure's pins — the arms should deploy with some resistance and slide correctly. Secure the rear rigging arms using the top enclosure's pins — the arms should deploy with some resistance and rotate correctly. Make sure the automatic locking system is deactivated — pull to disengage if the button is pressed (yellow sticker visible when deactivated). Secure the front rigging arms at one of the inter-enclosure holes. Press the button to activate the automatic locking system — the latch slightly retracts with an audible click. Hold and lift the array to lock the inter-enclosure angles — the two enclosures should remain attached, the auto-lock button locks, and the latches engage with no yellow label visible. Disassemble the two enclosures — risk of trapping fingers, hold the top enclosure by the handles when disassembling. Repeat the check with the other enclosures.

What's being checked

The check exercises both arm types (front slides, rear rotates) and confirms the auto-lock latch shows a yellow sticker when disengaged and none when it's actually holding the inter-enclosure angle.
