Custom cardioid sub configuration
FRONT GROUP normal polarity, 0ms REAR GROUP reversed polarity, delayed independent groups — tune delay/level of each manually

Two groups instead of one preset: a forward-facing group at normal polarity/zero delay, and a separate rear-facing group with reversed polarity and its own delay — both adjustable independently for more or less aggressive cardioid steering.

Sub arc spacing
+t +t/2 0ms +t/2 +t spacing between adjacent elements < upper-frequency limit → no in-band side null

Outer elements get progressively more delay so the whole arc fires "in time" toward the center — the delay-steered shape, not a magic radius, is what does the work. Spacing between neighbors is what keeps a null out of your operating band.
