Kara — Stacked on SB18 Rigging
Stacking a 3-KARA array onto a platform-stacked or ground-stacked SB18 array, with optional angle arm extensions. Reference: LA-KARA-STACK-SB18-RIG-01. Follow in order — this is a sequential rigging procedure, not an independent checklist; steps depend on the ones before them.
Safety notes
- This is the most safety-critical of the Kara stacking configurations.
- Platform-stacked (on the M-BUMP/M-JACK platform): max 2 SB18 + 6 KARA.
- Ground-stacked (directly on ground, no platform): requires a perfectly horizontal, regular surface, max 4 SB18 + 9 KARA.
- The bottom KARA's angle is constrained by how many SB18/KARA are in the stack — e.g. 1 SB18 + 1-3 KARA allows −15° to +5°; 4 SB18 + 1-9 KARA allows −15° to +5° as well; 3 SB18 + 9 KARA narrows to −13° to +5°; 1 SB18 + 4 KARA narrows to −11° to +5°.
- Always verify the specific count/angle combination against the manual's table or Soundvision before building.
