V/Y Series — De-rigging Mixed Array

Safely de-rigging a combined subwoofer-and-tops array back into touring carts and flight cases. Reference: VY-MAN-DERIG-MIXED-01. Follow in order.

Top Cabinet De-rig

Prepare a touring cart (takes 4 top boxes) so the top cabinets can be de-rigged as a complete set. Remove the safety pin of the uppermost top cabinet. Lift the bottom of the array to take load off the angle pin of the uppermost top, and pull the pin out. With the array hanging freely from its front links, remove the remaining safety pins on the tops and repin them into unused holes. Lower and guide the top array into the touring cart until the front links of the uppermost cabinet are load-free.

Intermediate Frame Removal

Detach the uppermost top cabinet from the intermediate flying frame that connects the tops to the sub. Store the splay link of the intermediate flying frame in its parking position. Lower the array until the intermediate frame is a few centimeters above an empty flight case, then disengage the front links so it safely rests on the case.

Subwoofer & Primary Frame Pack-down

Disengage the rear of the intermediate frame and pack the two additional front links back into their parking places. Lower the remaining subwoofer to the ground and detach it from the primary flying frame. Verify the primary flying frame is in a clean configuration and place it back into its case.
