GSL/KSL — Tension Mode De-rigging

Safely collapsing and de-rigging a tensioned array. Reference: GSL-MAN-DERIG-TENS-01. Follow in order.

First Cart

Lower the array until it is approximately 30 centimeters off the ground. Verify the touring cart is configured for tension mode, and attach it to the bottom cabinet from the front first. Without moving the touring cart, disengage the bottom cabinet at the rear and lock its splay links to the cart. One by one, disengage the next three cabinets at the rear, carefully allowing them to collapse onto the bottom cabinet. Lower the array until the cart fully rests on the ground. Ensure the front links between the 4th and 5th cabinets (from the bottom) are load-free, then disengage and store them.

Remaining Carts

Roll the loaded cart clear, and attach the next touring cart from the front for the next set of cabinets. For the final set of cabinets, move the rear safety pins into their parking positions. Lower the array so all splay links disengage automatically, allowing the cabinets to collapse safely into their transport position.

Pack-down

Detach the load beam, store all pins, and place the load beam onto the touring cart. Detach and safely store the aiming plate.
